Our Foodservice products are only available through Foodservice channels, and are not packed in small consumer sizes.

Zero Trans / PHO
Has the U.S. Food and Drug Administration finalized its determination on partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs)?
Yes, it was determined on June 16, 2015 that the primary dietary source of artificial trans fat in processed foods, are not ͞generally recognized as safe͟ or GRAS for use in human food.
How long do food manufacturers have to remove PHOs from food?
The FDA has set a compliance date of July 2018. This will allow companies to either reformulate products without PHOs and/or petition the FDA to permit specific uses of PHOs. Following the compliance period, no PHOs can be added to human food unless they are otherwise approved by the FDA.
Will the FDA’s new ruling completely eliminate Trans fat?
No, Trans fat won’t be completely gone from foods because it occurs naturally in small amounts in meat and dairy products and is present at very low levels in other edible oils.
How quickly will Stratas be able to comply with the Zero trans ruling?
Stratas Foods has been on the forefront of research and innovation for trans fat substitutes for several years, and currently offers a full line of zero trans per serving solutions designed to meet the demanding needs of food manufacturers, restaurants, retailers and many others.
