Cheese Sauce


  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons 
  • Dash salt
  • Dash white pepper


  1. Place  in saucepan and heat on medium flame.
  2. Add flour and stir constantly until mixture begins to bubble.
  3. Continue to heat and stir for about 1 minute to form white roux. Do not let mixture begin to brown.
  4. Add milk, salt, and pepper and continue to heat and stir until mixture thickens and begins to bubble.
  5. Continue to cook and stir for 1 minute.
  6. Add cheese and stir until cheese melts and sauce is smooth. Remove from heat.
